Famed Tenor Anthony Kearns, a founding member of the Irish Tenors, will be performing at a Pre-Inaugural Brunch honoring and in support of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society on Sunday, January 20, 2013.

As a guest of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin E. Dempsey, Kearns will perform at the private luncheon in honor of America’s Medal of Honor Recipients. The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor in action which can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the Armed Services of the United States.

“I appreciate General Dempsey’s invitation to perform during this historic inauguration celebration – and it’s an honor to perform for the Medal of Honor recipients who served with such courage and bravery,” Kearns noted about his upcoming performance.

Adding, “It’s also been a pleasure working with Captain Curtis Kinzey, Director of the U.S. Army Chorus.”

“Anthony Kearns has a patriot’s heart and his voice expresses the myriad of feelings of those called to serve unlike any other singer today. His participation in Sunday’s pre-Inaugural brunch is perfect because it allows him a chance to give back to those who have defended freedom while inspiring all of us during this historic weekend,” explains Kirsten Fedewa, former media advisor to Presidential Candidate and National Governors Association Chairman Gov. Mike Huckabee and current agent/publicist for Anthony Kearns.

Fedewa notes, “The Irish have a long history of serving freedom’s cause. It’s in their blood. The Irish and Irish Americans alike have played a strong role in our country’s successful fight to be free – from presidents like JFK to the ordinary citizen. General Dempsey is a proven leader of Irish American descent who exemplifies the courage and heart that is expressed so beautifully by Anthony Kearns.”

In addition to a selection to be performed with the U.S. Army Chorus, Kearns is expected to perform his renowned “Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears” as well as a solo rendition of his new song, “O’ America.”

Kearns had previously performed in a Veterans Day Special entitled, “America’s Veterans: A Military Tribute,” which aired on PBS. He is also an enduring cultural ambassador for Ireland, and he regularly performs to support the efforts of the USO, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial FundThanksUSA, as well as other non-profit organizations.

The world-renowned Kearns and the famed Irish Tenors have ten top-selling CDs, and their recordings have gone gold, platinum and even double platinum.

Attendees at the Pre-Inaugural Brunch will include: members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, senior advisors, as well as other special guests.
